Job Description: Finance Co-ordinator
Job Summary

The Finance Co-ordinator will provide essential accounting functions for our Cape Town and Windhoek sites. This full-time position involves managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, a fixed asset register, petty cash handling, payroll support, budgeting, financial reporting, tax returns, and managing audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable effectively.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain a fixed asset register.
  • Handle petty cash transactions and ensure accuracy in payroll support.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and handle related statutory reports.
  • Coordinate and manage audits, liaising with auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Provide financial insights and support in submissions for government grants and BEE verification.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Diploma 
Desired Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Acumatica financial software, especially in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Sound experience in the preparation of local tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory reports.
  • Solid background in payroll management, ledger management, and related statutory returns.
  • Experience with annual financial audits and liaising with auditors.
  • Knowledge of local income taxation laws applicable to companies.
  • Previous experience in and knowledge of government grants submissions and BEE verification submissions is advantageous.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
 

The Finance Co-ordinator will work full time, Monday to Friday, for a total of 40 hours a week. Candidates must be based in Cape Town and available to work on-site as required.
