We are looking for a motivated and empathetic Customer Excellence Associate to join ThesisAI, a fast-growing US-based AI SaaS company helping students and researchers write smarter.

This is a junior or student-level position, ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, communicates clearly, and wants to grow in a dynamic tech startup. The role is hybrid, based in Cape Town (Neighbourgood Coworking, De Waterkant), with flexible working hours.

Responsibilities


• Handle customer chat support and assist users with questions about features, billing, and product setup.


• Gather and report customer insights and feedback to the team.


• Support sales by guiding users toward the right subscription plans.


• Manage customer data and user details in the admin panel.


• Use the Stripe payment dashboard to review transactions, payments, and refunds.

Requirements


• Currently a student or recent graduate with an academic background.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.


• Patience, empathy, and attention to detail.


• Reliable, organized, and comfortable working with digital tools.


• Eagerness to learn about AI, SaaS, and customer experience.

Contract Details


• Type: Independent contractor (not employment under South African labour law).


• Hours: 15–30 per week, flexible schedule (suitable for students). Important is to be online every day at least two times and check incoming tickets.


• Location: Hybrid/Remote, De Waterkant, Cape Town.
