Role Description

This is a part-time contract role for a Flavour & Sensory Development Lead. The Flavour & Sensory Development Lead will conduct research and development of sensory profiles and flavours, lead sensory analysis, and collaborate with the formulation team to develop new products. Additional responsibilities include ensuring consistent quality and overseeing the documentation of sensory attributes. This is an on-site role located in Johannesburg.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Sensory Science, Food Science, Flavour Chemistry, Gastronomy, or related field.
• Proven experience in sensory evaluation, flavour profiling, or applied product development.
• Familiarity with African botanicals and traditional culinary heritage is a distinct advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver structured, actionable sensory insights within flexible, project-based environments
