Role Description: Senior Construction Site Manager

We're hiring a
Senior Construction Site Manager
to oversee multiple construction projects across the Winelands region.

This is a
hands-on leadership role
responsible for ensuring that every JDV site runs safely, smoothly, on programme and in line with our high standards of quality and workmanship. You will coordinate teams, manage daily activities on-site, and act as a key link between management, professional teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage
    daily on-site operations
    and construction teams.
  • Ensure full
    SHEQ and safety compliance
    at all times.
  • Manage
    project programmes, scheduling and task delegation
    .
  • Coordinate
    contractors, suppliers and professional teams
    .
  • Conduct
    regular quality checks
    and enforce JDV's workmanship standards.
  • Monitor
    site progress, budgets and material usage
    .
  • Lead
    problem-solving and decision-making
    on site to prevent delays.
  • Report site progress and key issues
    directly to senior management
    .

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record as a
    Senior Site Manager
    in the construction industry.
  • Strong experience in
    heritage restoration, residential builds and/or commercial projects
    (experience in all three is a strong advantage).
  • Excellent
    planning, scheduling and organisational skills
    .
  • Skilled in
    budgeting, cost control and resource management
    .
  • Strong
    leadership abilities
    with experience managing multiple site teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of
    construction regulations and site safety practices
    .
  • Experience with
    construction management software
    (
    preferred but not required
    ).
  • Diploma or Degree in Construction Management (
    preferred but not required).
