Introduction

A vacancy exists for Mechanical (HVAC) at Life Groenkloof Hospital, reporting to Hospital Engineering Manager. The job entails continuous availability of Mechanical services for the Hospital infrastructure. Be a part of a professional team providing high standards in healthcare and a high-tech environment.

Critical Outputs
  • Maintain and repair air conditioning units, air-handling units, Chillers, heat pumps, and all mechanical equipment.
  • Install, service, and maintain residential, industrial and commercial HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot faults and provide effective solutions.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and team members.
  • Keep accurate service records and report progress.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, ensure all work is safe, efficient, and of high quality.
  • Function independently in a service environment
  • Excellent completion of daily job cards as well as feedback thereof is high priority
  • Carry out stock and inventory control
  • Adhere to safe working practices (OHS Act) and Risk Management
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call duty rotations as required.
  • Assistance with related ad-hoc functions as requested by manage
Requirements
  • At least N3, Preferred N5 qualification in Mechanical Refrigeration with a Trade Test certificate and a minimum of 3 years in engineering maintenance post trade test.
  • Practical experience in a hospital environment or similar environment is essential.
