Job Description

Ba-Phalaborwa Golf Course & Spa is seeking a Golf Coordinator & Finance Assistant to manage all reservations, administration, and finance-related activities linked to golf operations, the pro shop, events, and accommodation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent member and guest service, accurate financial controls, and effective coordination of golf bookings and events.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Reservations & Golf Operations

  • Manage daily golf bookings, walk-ins, and telephonic enquiries
  • Administer online booking platforms for golf and accommodation
  • Manage golfer check-ins and maintain reservation SOPs

Pro Shop Reception & Sales

  • Answer incoming calls and assist members and guests
  • Capture bookings accurately
  • Maintain high standards at reception and public areas
  • Assist with promotions and general operational support

Administration

  • Maintain and update member, visitor, and corporate databases
  • Process new memberships, transfers, terminations, and subscriptions
  • Introduce new members to club rules and management
  • Compile and maintain the Club Diary

Events Coordination

  • Assist with planning and coordinating club, corporate, and charity events
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives with the Head of Golf

Finance

  • Produce operational and financial reports
  • Manage invoicing, payments, debtors, and creditors
  • Oversee stock control, GRVs, and stock takes
  • Ensure daily cash-up procedures are followed

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12 (minimum)
  • Finance or Administration qualification (advantageous)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in administration, finance, and reservations
  • Golf club or pro shop experience (advantageous)

Legal

  • Valid Driver's License

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong administrative and financial skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of accounting principles and budgets
  • Ability to work under pressure with sound judgement
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Friendly, professional, and diplomatic approach

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R13 000,00 - R18 000,00 per month
