Job Description

Permanent opportunity available for a Business Systems Analyst with a passion for the technical aspects of Business Analysis, especially with a focus on systems with SA's prominent financial services group in Cape Town.

Based in Cape Town, this Junior to Intermediate Business Systems Analyst opportunity offers between R400K and R440K.

This prominent financial services group is a key player in the South African market, offering a range of services in wealth management, insurance, and asset management. Their solutions include financial advice, investment management, retirement planning, and insurance for both individuals and businesses.

THE ROLE

You will be working as part of an IT delivery team responsible for the development, configuration and support of various IT business systems. If you have a passion for the more technical side of business analysis with a strong focus on systems, you enjoy working on problems that have a solution based in accounting and mathematics, then this position offers you an opportunity to learn and grow.

The role involves developing business requirement specifications, business processes, and contributing to system design, along with creating functional, technical, and system integration specifications at the data level. Responsibilities also include analyzing and testing systems during investigations and system changes/upgrades, monitoring and improving daily system controls, ensuring the integrity of business and market data, identifying process improvement opportunities, and collaborating with Vendor and IT implementation teams to implement changes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Relevant degree or finance degree

2+ years' relevant experience

SQL and programming skills

Programming or scripting experience

Financial data analysis skills

Knowledge of market instruments and processes

Experience with order management or trading systems

Experience with unit trust fund accounting systems
