About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Junior HR Administrator

to support the HR and recruitment function within a private care home agency. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1 - 2 years of HR or recruitment administration experience who is looking to grow their career in a supportive and purpose-driven environment.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring a smooth recruitment and onboarding experience for carers, as well as providing day-to-day HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Review and screen incoming CVs of carer applicants to ensure alignment with role requirements.
  • Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Support pre-employment checks including references, right-to-work documentation, and DBS verifications.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, preparing offer letters, and ensuring completion of necessary documentation.

HR Administration

  • Maintain and update employee records in line with data protection regulations.
  • Prepare HR-related correspondence such as contracts, letters, and amendments.
  • Support with absence tracking, annual leave records, and basic HR reporting.
  • Assist with compliance and audit preparation, ensuring all employee files are complete and accurate.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team and management as needed.

About You

  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR or recruitment administration role (experience within healthcare or care settings is an advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office and HR systems (experience with HRIS platforms is a plus).
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in people operations and HR development.
