Our client in Milnerton, is looking for qualified and experienced Dental Assistant to provide quality dental services. As a vital part of their practice, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care, supporting our dental professionals, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 – 3 years' experience.

You will be responsible for the following:

Meet and greet patients in a warm and friendly manner

Assisting with dental procedures and preparing the patient file in respect of information

Diary management

Patient account management / invoicing

Preparing patients for dental work

Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures

Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary

Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary

Providing great patient care

Recording treatment information in patient records

Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment

Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs

Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist

Caring for dental equipment

Education:

Matric

Dental Assisting Diploma will be adv

Must be registered with Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Dental Assistant

Any medical patient software system is beneficial

Minimum 2 -3 years' experience as a Dental Assistant

Skills:

Professional, Reliable, Initiative, Customer Service Orientation

Knowledge of Dental Terminology, Procedures and Diagnosis

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities

Attain and maintain a high level of clinical dentistry expertise, with a focus on areas that add value in a dental clinic setting, such as paediatric dentistry, emergency dental treatment, extractions, and dental care prevention
