VMWARE Engineer - 12 Month Contract [Hybrid]

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 7 years of experience as a VMWARE Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of VMWARE virtualization technologies and products
  • A VCAP certification.
  • Proven experience in managing and optimizing large and complex VMware environments.
  • Experience with VMWARE vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi - Knowledge of server hardware and storage technologies

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement VMWARE infrastructure for clients.
  • Monitor and maintain VMWARE environment to ensure optimal. performance and availability Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMWARE infrastructure.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of VMWARE infrastructure with other systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest VMWARE technologies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to VMWARE infrastructure and processes Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
