Technical Specialist - Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and support IaaS, BaaS, and DRaaS solutions.
  • Manage and maintain Hitachi storage solutions and Azure-based infrastructure.
  • Provide proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to align with business continuity requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams and vendors to optimize infrastructure performance.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards, governance, and policies.
  • Prepare documentation, technical reports, and solution designs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in technical infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)
    • BaaS (Backup as a Service)
    • DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Hitachi Vantara technologies (storage/backup/DR solutions)
    • Microsoft Azure (infrastructure, backup & recovery, DR site setup)
  • Relevant certifications (at least one of the below):
    • Hitachi Vantara Certified Professional/Expert (e.g., Storage Solutions, Implementation Specialist)
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
    • Other related certifications in IaaS/DR/Cloud Solutions beneficial
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing ability.
