NOW HIRING: Energy Management & Insurance Claims Assistant

Energy Management Specialist

Purpose of the Role

To support the Energy Management and Insurance & Claims teams with operational, analytical, and administrative tasks. This role offers hands-on exposure to renewable energy portfolio management, insurance processes, and industrial risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

Energy Management Support

  • Assist with data collection and validation for energy production and consumption
  • Support daily forecasting and communication with stakeholders
  • Assist with monthly energy budget tracking, invoicing, and reconciliations
  • Conduct market research on energy trends and regulatory updates
  • Maintain documentation and support best-practice sharing
  • Verify Deemed Energy Payment (DEP) calculations
  • Track O&M needs and manage GCC processes; provide updates to NERSA, RETEC, ZESCO, and ERB
  • Assist with IPP Office generation reporting
  • Facilitate NMD exceedance exemption applications
  • Ensure timely reporting on curtailments, outages, and related timelines
  • Assist with invoice payments
  • Support training for site teams regarding DEP data, reporting events, and tracking AGUP hours

Insurance & Claims Support

  • Track and document insurance claims
  • Prepare reports on claim progress and mitigation steps
  • Coordinate logistics for risk assessments and remote site visits
  • Maintain data in risk management tools (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Provide administrative support for insurance program management and compliance

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Degree or diploma in Engineering, Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Project Management, or similar.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Basic data analysis and reporting skills
  • Exposure to renewable energy or insurance concepts
