Minimum Requirements
  • BSc or BEng in Engineering (Essential/Minimum)
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in business analytics and optimisation, preferably in mining or resources
  • Proven track record in business process optimisation and change management
  • Experience with value chain optimisation tools and technologies
  • Knowledge and application of improvement methodologies such as TOC, Lean Six Sigma
  • Excellent analytical and statistical skills
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and deliver on conflicting priorities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to foster collaboration
  • Experience in digital transformation and implementation of innovative solutions

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the Marketing and Logistics Business Planning process, ensuring alignment with strategic development and the successful integration and optimisation of the value chain.
  • Manage the Risk Management process while serving as an analytical champion in the department to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across the value chain by implementing innovative digital solutions and technologies to improve business processes.
  • Provide technical support to senior management, including the General Manager, to facilitate strategic initiatives and business optimisation strategies.
  • Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across multiple teams and departments.
  • Lead and coordinate business process optimisation initiatives, ensuring the effective management of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver results on conflicting priorities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance safety, profitability, and cost efficiencies through strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Utilise advanced analytical and statistical skills to provide data-driven insights and support strategic analysis and business optimisation projects.
  • Build and maintain professional networks and relationships with key stakeholders to support knowledge sharing and strategic alignment across all business units.
  • Oversee the implementation of best practices and knowledge management to ensure continuous improvement and the replication of innovation opportunities across functional areas.
