Role Overview

Our company is seeking a high-performance, target-driven professional with strong industry knowledge to drive growth in our heavy equipment hire division. This individual will focus on general contracts for large-scale machinery rentals (including ADT's, dozers, graders, excavators, loaders and related plant) across mining, construction, quarrying and industrial sectors.

Main Duties & Deliverables

Develop and secure new accounts within mining, construction, and contracting sectors.

Build and nurture long-term partnerships with mine managers, engineers, & procurement leads.

Visit client sites to assess operational requirements and recommend equipment solutions.

Lead negotiations, presentations, and closing of hire agreements tailored to specific projects.

Liaise with internal logistics and operations for efficient deployment and servicing of machines.

Monitor competitor activity, market movements, and upcoming tender opportunities.

Compile and submit proposals, costings, and contractual agreements.

Ensure adherence to all compliance, safety, and site protocols.

Provide management with accurate reports on forecasts, pipelines, and client feedback.

Consistently achieve set revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Requirements & Background

5+ years' proven track record in plant hire, equipment rental, or related industries.

Demonstrated success in acquiring contracts within mining and/or construction.

Solid technical understanding of earth-moving equipment (ADTs, dozers, graders, etc)

Established professional network with access to industry decision-makers.

Highly motivated, adaptable, and results-focused personality.

Willingness to travel regularly.

Valid driver's license essential.

Computer proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
