Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Captain in the operation and navigation of the vessel

- Maintain a safe and secure environment for the vessel, crew, and passengers

- Supervise and train junior officers and crew members

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures onboard the cruise ship

- Conduct regular safety drills and inspections

- Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to the vessel's course

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date navigational charts and equipment

- Communicate with port authorities and other vessels as necessary

- Keep detailed records of the vessel's activities and maintenance

- Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo and supplies

- Handle any emergency situations that may arise

- Participate in regular safety and security training and meetings

- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

- Valid 2nd Officer license

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a 2nd Officer on a commercial vessel

- Excellent knowledge of navigation and safety procedures

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment

- Physically fit and able to perform duties in a marine environment

- Familiarity with international maritime laws and regulations

- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
