Enterprise Software Account Director

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Enterprise Software Account Director to join our team. This is a key senior sales role responsible for driving revenue growth, managing high-value enterprise clients, and leading complex software sales cycles. You will work with some of South Africa's largest organisations, helping them navigate digital transformation through cutting-edge software, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions.
If you are a hunter by nature, passionate about enterprise technology, and excel at building strong executive relationships - this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new business development and expand existing enterprise accounts.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing multi-million-rand deals.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell across the software portfolio.
Client Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for strategic enterprise clients.
- Build trusted, long-term partnerships with senior stakeholders.
- Understand client needs and position relevant enterprise solutions.
- Contract & Commercial Negotiations
- Lead high-value contract discussions with clients, legal, finance, and procurement.
- Ensure favourable terms while managing commercial risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with technical, presales, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure successful solution design and implementation.
- Provide insights into client trends and market changes.
- Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data in CRM systems.
- Report regularly on sales performance and revenue projections
Qualifications:
- Degree OR 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience:
- 7+ years in enterprise software sales, account management, or business development.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of SaaS, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
- Technical Knowledge (advantageous):
- Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Cyber Security
- AIOps / DevSecOps / AppSec / Mainframe
