Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to take the financial helm of a growing, high-performance organisation. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role suited to a CFO who thrives in a fast-moving infrastructure environment, excels in board engagement, and brings depth in project finance and institutional reporting. This opportunity arises for an ambitious candidate who brings the right blend of telecoms understanding, financial rigour, and board-level gravitas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a well-established finance function responsible for end-to-end financial operations across multiple operating fibre assets.
  • Drive financial strategy, capital allocation, forecasting, and commercial insight to support business growth.
  • Manage complex reporting to
    two institutional investors
    , ensuring robust, accurate, and timely information that meets strict requirements.
  • Oversee
    lender reporting, debt compliance, and project finance structures
    , including engagements with DFIs and commercial banks.
  • Provide confident, informed, and influential engagement with the Board and RemCo.
  • Strengthen governance, controls, and risk frameworks suited to a capital-intensive operating model.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in
    telecoms, fibre networks, renewable energy, infrastructure, or other project-financed sectors
    .
  • Strong
    project finance
    expertise is essential.
  • Exposure to
    renewable energy finance, IPP structures, or lender-driven reporting environments
    will be a significant advantage due to similarities in reporting frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage investor and lender relationships at institutional level.
  • CA(SA) strongly preferred.
  • Must be comfortable operating both strategically and operationally.
  • Excellent communication, board engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
