  • Newcastle office location (3 days p/w onsite) flexible working arrangements supported
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $138,539 to $148,283+ super

The role

The Senior Planning Officer manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic planning and policy projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.

You will manage and oversee all aspects of strategic planning and policy projects, development and implementation for a range of strategic planning projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting planning related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope

You will bring knowledge and experience in strategic land-use or infrastructure planning, policy development, property development or infrastructure projects, statutory requirements, risk management, and strategic land use and infrastructure planning and policy and knowledge of Government operations and regulations pertaining to planning functions 

A degree qualification in urban planning, economics, project management, and equivalent relevant industry experience is essential.
