CORPORATE SERVICES Technician - Geomatics

Requirements

  • Relevant three-year tertiary qualification in Geomatics
  • Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in a Geomatics

environment

  • The incumbent needs to be reasonably fit to be able to carry

out strenuous field work, in all weather conditions, if required

  • Valid Code B driver's licence.

Key Performance Areas

  • Support departments with Geomatics Survey operations in

compliance with the Land Survey Act

  • Responsible for the provision of Topographic and

Engineering Surveys

  • Responsible for Town Survey Mark (TSM) maintenance
  • Supervise Senior Technical Assistants during construction

of TSMs

  • Responsible for precise levelling
  • Responsible for the provision of pre-marking and control

surveys for mapping projects

  • Provide a consultancy service to internal clients.
