Seamless Knitting Technician

We are looking for an experienced Seamless Knitting Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot our Santoni seamless knitting machines. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with seamless production and a strong technical understanding of circular knitting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation
  • Operate Santoni seamless knitting machines (SM8 or similar)
  • Set machine parameters according to product specifications
  • Monitor yarn feeding, tension, stitch density, and overall production quality
  • Technical Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults
  • Replace needles, cams, sinkers, belts, sensors, or yarn feeders when necessary
  • Adjust machine timing and calibration to prevent defects
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance
  • Keep detailed maintenance logs
  • Ensure machines run smoothly with minimal downtime
  • Quality Assurance
  • Inspect garments during production
  • Identify defects such as holes, laddering, tension issues, size variation
  • Correct faults quickly to avoid waste
  • Production Support
  • Work with team leaders to achieve daily production targets
  • Train junior operators on machine setup and safe handling
  • Assist in sample development and new product trials

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years operating seamless knitting machines
  • Experience with Santoni seamless machines
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with different yarns and gauges
  • Basic understanding of electronics
  • Must be disciplined, reliable, and able to work shift if required
  • English communication
