Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 6-months

Our client in the global professional services industry is seeking an Account Manager responsible for building trusted client relationships, providing strategic PR and influencer counsel, and overseeing the successful execution of integrated campaigns. This role ensures the delivery of impactful media, influencer, and content strategies, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the agency's growth.

What you will do:

Client Relationship Management and Strategic Counsel:

  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with clients, acting as the primary day-to-day contact.
  • Understand client business objectives, industry landscape, and communication goals.
  • Provide proactive PR, media relations, influencer marketing, and strategic communications counsel.
  • Lead client meetings, manage expectations, and ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Campaign Execution and Project Leadership:

  • Translate client objectives into actionable PR and influencer campaign strategies.
  • Oversee integrated PR campaigns, including media relations, influencer partnerships, events, content, and digital PR.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and quality standards to ensure successful delivery.
  • Monitor KPIs and campaign performance, preparing reports that demonstrate ROI.
  • Anticipate challenges and implement proactive solutions.

Media and Influencer Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers.
  • Identify news angles and craft tailored pitches to secure high-impact media coverage.
  • Manage media inquiries, interviews, and press events.
  • Vet, engage, and manage influencers aligned with client campaigns.
  • Stay informed on media trends and emerging platforms relevant to clients.

Content Development and Storytelling:

  • Collaborate on the creation of PR materials: press releases, media alerts, thought leadership, blog posts, and social content.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand messaging and resonates with target audiences.
  • Support crisis communication planning and reactive media management when required.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Mentor, coach, and oversee junior team members such as Account Executives.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure high-quality completion.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

Business Growth and Financial Management:

  • Identify opportunities for organic account growth and support new business initiatives.
  • Monitor account profitability, track project budgets, and manage financial reporting.
  • Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, and accurate budget estimates.

Agency Contribution:

  • Participate in agency-wide training, knowledge sharing, and process improvements.
  • Contribute to new business pitches and the agency's thought leadership initiatives.
  • Stay current with PR, influencer marketing, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
  • 3–5 years' experience in a PR agency or in-house PR role, with proven client account management.
  • Experience in media relations, content development, and influencer marketing preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into effective PR and influencer strategies.
  • Strong media and influencer engagement expertise with established contacts.
  • Highly organized with project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset to assess campaign data and extract insights.
  • Team player with leadership abilities, mentoring junior staff.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Financial acumen with an understanding of profitability and budget management.
