We are currently recruiting a
Field Technician
to be based in
Eastern Cape (Gqeberha) for a six (6) months fixed-term contract
. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installations and maintenance of vehicle tracking and fleet management units and any additional EKS products.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing, repairing, or servicing company products.
  • Complying with administration task requirements.
  • Liaising with the Control Room, Testing, and Scheduling departments.
  • Maintenance of tracking devices.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Potential Candidates must have experience in the installation and maintenance of tracking devices.
  • Must be able to conduct a current draw.
  • Excellent understanding of Fleet management and CAN bus connections
  • Vast knowledge of vehicle wiring.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years' experience in installing and maintaining tracking and fleet management products.
  • Good knowledge of motor vehicle electronics.
  • Good at fault-finding skills and have a good understanding of Fleet Management.
  • Good client relations and communication skills.
  • A potential candidate must be a good team player, reliable, trustworthy, and have good ethics.
  • Must be willing to travel (valid code 8 driver's license).
  • Must be willing to work extra hours.
  • Must have a strong point of troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to use MS Word and Excel (computer literate)

Experience:

  • Installing tracking and fleet management products: 2 years (Required)
  • Knowledge of vehicle wiring: 2 years (Required)
  • Knowledge of motor vehicle electronics: 2 years (Required)
  • License/Certification: driver's license (Required)
