Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role, based in Eastern Cape, South Africa. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and handling budgeting and forecasting tasks. Day-to-day duties will include accounts reconciliation, bookkeeping, analyzing financial data, preparing tax returns, and supporting audits. Collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations will also be a key aspect of the role.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and accounts reconciliation
  • Experience in preparing financial reports, budget management, and forecasting
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or equivalent are a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site environment
