We are seeking a highly skilled
Vulnerability Management Specialist
to support the rebuilding and enhancement of our
Tenable Security Center )
environment. The specialist will play a key role in strengthening our vulnerability management capabilities by integrating
Tenable Core
,
Web Application Scanning (WAS)
, enhancing certificate management, configuring SSO for secure access, and adopting
Tenable AI-aware
for intelligent threat detection.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in
vulnerability scanning technologies
,
configuration
, and
security operations
, with the ability to work across planning, integration, testing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1: Assessment & Planning

  • Review the current deployment and identify gaps.
  • Assess configuration, licensing, and integration issues.
  • Define infrastructure and resource requirements for the rebuild.

Phase 2: Environment Preparation

  • Plan and prepare OS, network, and system configurations.
  • Ensure required hardware or virtual resources meet minimum specifications.
  • Establish secure access and connectivity for the rebuild.

Phase 3: Rebuild

  • Install and configure
    Tenable Core
    and
    Web Application Scanning (WAS)
    .
  • Apply and validate updated licenses (including WAS).
  • Configure repositories, scan zones, asset groups, and scanning templates.
  • Migrate and review vulnerability scanning policies and align with baseline requirements.

Phase 4: WAS Integration

  • Register WAS with Sensor Proxy and validate configuration.
  • Configure WAS scan policies, schedules, and credential-based scanning.
  • Ensure accurate ingestion of web application scanning results into

Phase 5: Testing & Validation

  • Execute test scans across key asset groups.
  • Validate data flow, reporting, dashboards, and alerting.
  • Conduct performance, stability, and compliance checks.

Phase 6: Documentation & Handover

  • Develop configuration documentation and update architectural diagrams.
  • Provide operational SOPs, troubleshooting guidelines, and escalation paths.
  • Deliver knowledge transfer (KT) sessions to Security and IT teams.

Deliverables

  • Fully rebuilt

    platform with integrated WAS.
  • Deployment and configuration documentation.
  • Testing outcomes, validation reports, and compliance checks.
  • Training materials and a complete handover package.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in
    vulnerability management
    or
    security engineering
    .
  • Strong hands-on experience with

    , Tenable Core, and WAS.
  • Knowledge of SSO integrations, certificates, and secure access configurations.
  • Understanding of asset visibility, vulnerability reporting, and cybersecurity controls.
  • Experience running test scans, validating ingestion, and tuning vulnerability tools.
  • Exposure to telecom, enterprise, or regulated environments is advantageous.
