Join our client's finance team as a Treasury Specialist and play a pivotal role in optimising their global currency operations. Responsibilities:

• Streamline and automate foreign payment processes, ensuring compliance with department policies and internal controls.
• Manage foreign exchange exposure through strategic hedging in line with company policies.
• Oversee foreign cash management and treasury functions, including the management of incoming funds.
• Conduct monthly foreign creditor reconciliations and verify payments.
• Analyze foreign exchange variances and review system calculations for accuracy.
• Provide monthly average foreign exchange rate cover based on derivative positions.
• Determine and report the group's foreign currency exposure in key currencies (USD, EUR, GBP).
• Monitor and review foreign currency bank accounts for optimal management.
• Process and authorize inter-company transfers in accordance with signature mandates.
• Manage foreign petty cash and imprint systems, with a focus on automation.
• Assess merchanting transactions to ensure effective control over foreign currency inflows and outflows.
• Manage and optimize cash within various legal entities across Africa.
• Coordinate notifications and verification of payments for international shipments, ensuring alignment with supplier invoices.
• Stay updated on foreign exchange rates and market trends from key banking partners.
• Maintain and update foreign payment details, terms, and beneficiaries weekly.
• Manage and review various banking mandates and online banking platforms for the Group.
• Obtain access to African banking entities and establish signatories as per the liquidation plan.
• Maintain and review credit card and fleet card registers, reporting on spending and exceptions.
• Manage FICA and UBO requirements as mandated by financial institutions.
• Oversee and manage ad-hoc projects, including audit findings, costing analyses, and hedging/funding activities.
• Investigate and resolve cash management issues.

Requirements:
Must-Haves:

• Proven experience working within global teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to translate financial information into clear graphs and reports.
• Excellent knowledge of ERP systems (Syspro/SAP).
• A high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
