We're building one of Africa's strongest engineering teams — and we need an AWS-savvy Data Engineer to help power it.

You'll design and run data pipelines that move fast, scale cleanly, and stay secure in the cloud. This means owning the full flow — from ingestion and storage to transformation and delivery — across a stack built mainly on AWS.

What you'll do

  • Build, automate, and maintain modern data pipelines using AWS tools.
  • Design cloud-native data architectures that balance performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Work hands-on with Python, SQL, and Spark to process and model data.
  • Keep pipelines secure, documented, and production-ready.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineers and analysts to drive real business value from data.

What you bring

  • 5+ years in data engineering with strong AWS experience.
  • Deep knowledge of data modelling, ETL, and pipeline orchestration.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
  • Experience with real-time and batch data tools (Kinesis, Glue, Redshift, EMR).
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and solid problem-solving instincts.
  • AWS or Databricks certifications a plus.
