Ricoh South Africa is recruiting for the position of BI Analyst. The successful incumbent will be responsible for transforming data into insights that drive business value using data analytics, data visualisation and data modelling techniques and technologies. They turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. In addition, this role requires the necessary financial acumen to strategically advise on all pricing and supported pricing related matters in order to position the organisation favorably/competitively against other suppliers in the South African market

What you will be doing

Budget and Forecasting:

• Support of the long range planning, monthly budget, and forecasting processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
• Responsible for the input and compilation of LOB statements.
• Finance business partner to multiple teams, ensuring drivers for performance are clearly communicated.
• Work with statutory finance to assist deep diving financial information.
• Develop and maintain relationships with finance and internal stakeholders.
• Provide input into the budget, forecast process and provide data driven facts to maintain accurate financials.
• Provide ad-hoc financial and analytical reports.

Data analysis and investigation:

• Establish and maintain analysis tools.
• Validation of data accuracy through comparison with alternative data sources in the business.
• Identify, investigate, highlight, and comment on relevant trends and variances and determine the actions.
• Investigate, analyse, and report on relevant issues prioritised by the business.
• Assist to manage the integrity of data.
• Liaise with various departments to align, understand and interpret data.

Project based work:

• Engage in Projects aimed at improving delivery.
• Other functional areas where required.
• Key role player in the budgets and forecasts specifically to the Technical and Sales departments.
• Project manage all aspects of an improvement project to drive:
• Revenue assurance and growth
• Gross margin management
• Trading profit increase

Revenue Leakage Analysis:

• Identify areas of revenue leakage, from data analysed from various sources.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and margin.

Reporting:

• Analyse complex business problems and issues.
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns in relevant datasets.
• Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic plans based on business data and market knowledge.
• Define, develop, enhance and track metrics and dashboard requirements to deliver results and provide insights and recommendations on trends
• Ownership of RZA budget process, monthly forecasting, and board presentations
• Manage and report daily, weekly and monthly on analytics in the Technical and Sales departments
• Detailed reporting on the technical annuity tower execution and providing revenue assurance on the machines in field (MIF) base as a whole
• Scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling to be done on data for Sales and Technical
• Identify, using system tools, idle performing assets (MIF)
• Compile Customer Profitability's on a monthly & Ad hoc basis on
• Account level
• Device level
• Regular revision of assumptions for cost allocations required for profitability analysis
• Post implementation commercial reviews and exception reporting of Projects/Deals to ensure they align with the KPI set.
• Articulate information and reports to relevant stakeholders that will:
• Be easy to understand and redistribute the message to a department
• Give guidance on next steps and timelines for execution
• Ensure recommendations are agreed to
• Manage the recommendations to execution
• Review and maintain

Relationship with REU (Ricoh Europe) Analytics Team:

• Responsible for maintaining RZA relationships with REU Analytics.
• Maintain knowledge of systems and analytics tools changes.
• Ensure accuracy of all formulae built into tools.

You will ideally have

• Completed or in final year Financial Degree (Eg. B Comm Informatics) is mandatory
• Equipment and Customer Service environment experience an advantage
• Must be proficient in Advanced Excel
• Experience with BI tools is a requirement
• Siebel, Oracle and Sofon experience an advantage
• Must display customer centricity internally and externally
• Ability to articulate Information in the most simplistic way
