The Export Manager plays a pivotal role in driving international sales growth, customer relationships, and market development for

You'll provide operational and commercial support to Oxidental Trading, executing approved strategies and delivering market insights to the Mauritius-based management team.

Key Liaison Between:

• Brand teams: Marketing, Insights, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial
• Oxidental Trading's global distributors, importers, and customers

Essential Functions

Commercial & Sales Growth

• Support the GM in implementing export sales initiatives approved by Oxidental Trading's Mauritius management team.
• Develop Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key distributors and partners, setting clear growth objectives, marketing investments, and annual priorities.
• Monitor sales results, margin delivery, and trade spend efficiency across all markets.
• Provide commercial analysis and recommendations to Mauritius for pricing and forecast alignment.
• Maintain accurate forecasting and order planning in collaboration with logistics.

Business Development & Market Expansion

• Conduct market research and provide recommendations for new market opportunities.
• Perform market mapping, competitor benchmarking, and pricing analysis.
• Represent Oxidental Trading at international trade fairs, tastings, and key industry events.
• Coordinate winemaker visits and promotional activities with Wines of South Africa (WoSA).

Customer Relationship Management

• Assist Mauritius management in coordinating customer relationships and provide operational support.
• Maintain regular business reviews and communication to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Host visiting distributors, agents, and customers in South Africa with premium hospitality standards.

Marketing Alignment & Brand Support

• Work closely with Marketing and Wine Maker teams to ensure brand activations align with international needs.
• Provide input on market-specific requirements for brand materials.
• Conduct ongoing market research into consumer trends and competitor activity.
• Coordinate online brand and product training sessions for global customers.

Process, Collaboration & Reporting

• Ensure operational execution of pre-approved plans and escalate decisions to Mauritius management.
• Work cross-functionally with brand, marketing, supply chain, finance, and insights teams.
• Maintain data accuracy in ERP and CRM systems and support export dashboards.
• Deliver regular sales and market performance reports to the GM.

What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience)

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or International Trade (MBA advantageous).
• 5–8 years' experience in export sales, key account management, or business development in wine or premium FMCG.
• Proven success managing distributors in multiple markets with a key focus on the
  US
  market.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Business Central, ZOHO).
• Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.
