Role Description

This is a full-time position for a Millwright based in the Winelands of the Western Cape, South Africa. The Millwright will be responsible for tasks including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency breakdown support on water and wastewater treatment plants. The role involves working with both electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure the optimal functioning of plant and systems. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and technical expertise to support the organization's commitment to operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Trade tested Millwright with minimum NQF4 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering, red seal certificate will be an advantage.
  • Five or more years of experience as a Millwright in water, wastewater or chemical / mineral processing plants with detailed knowledge of water treatment equipment and instrumentation maintenance and calibration.
  • Skills in Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Expertise in Maintenance & Repair of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in using Power Tools and Hand Tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints
  • Valid drivers' licence
