ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Laser Scanning Specialist to join our team. As a Laser Scanning Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting laser scanning surveys and creating accurate 3D models for various projects. You will work closely with our design teams to ensure that all project requirements are met and that the final deliverables are of the highest quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct laser scanning surveys using state-of-the-art equipment and software
  • Process and analyze data collected from laser scanning surveys
  • Create accurate 3D models and point clouds for various projects
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure project requirements are met
  • Provide technical support and expertise to project teams
  • Maintain and calibrate laser scanning equipment
  • Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and trends in laser scanning technology
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while conducting surveys
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in laser scanning and 3D modeling
  • Proficient in using laser scanning equipment and software (e.g. Leica Cyclone, FARO Scene, Autodesk Recap)

SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of surveying and mapping principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise deliverables
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in laser scanning
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
