Job Description

  • Safety: Oversee consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
  • Performance and Delivery:
  • Embrace an agile Supply Chain by being adaptive and flexible to accommodate and focus on emerging and changing business priorities.
  • Support the development of category, sourcing and contracting strategies and plans through data gathering, tracking and analysis and responsibly execute allocated sourcing & contracting activities.
  • Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, to drive step change in value and deliver innovative solutions that position as a partner of choice.
  • Optimize value through innovation, risk mitigation and growth throughout the relationship life cycle.
  • Follow a set of standards for suppliers and contractors to enable delivery in a safe and socially acceptable way and ensure that the organization sources from responsible suppliers.
  • Support the implementation of commercial strategies to support business needs and improve value delivery.
  • Negotiate and finalize Agreements.
  • Adhere to value creation and supplier engagement strategies that align to the overall Supply Chain strategy, critical tasks, performance targets and Business priorities.
  • Actively track commercial dashboard KPIs (e.g. cycle times, contact coverage, category/supplier/contractor performance etc.) and proactively address and escalate issues.
  • Plan and execute activities for planned and relevant activities.
  • Execute relevant project procurement activities in a timely and visible manner.
  • Provide input into the relevant budget and resource requirements.
  • Responsible for compiling and executing allocated sourcing events, contracting and contract management (including administration), supplier/contract performance and initiative management.
  • Effective execution of contracts administrative duties like price files, variation and amendments.
  • Execute effective and efficient commercial activities relating to contracts in a timely and value driven manner, including timeous and accurate capturing of price updates for contracts in the system.
  • Regular timeous and accurate reporting pertaining to routine and tactical sourcing & contracting activities.
  • Ensure cross collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support a culture of Sustainable Value through ESG.TCO initiatives, innovation, working capital and cost reduction. Provide support with the implementation of sustainable value creation strategies, initiatives and associated business cases, that advance technical, community, sustainability, and financial ambitions.
  • Support input to and delivery against inclusive procurement and commercial plans to ensure targets are met against scheduled milestones.
  • Drive a culture of community development and inclusive procurement with stakeholders that are aligned to the Inclusive Procurement strategies.
  • Execute and adhere to an Inclusive Procurement program that will increase host community commercial participation and support the development of thriving communities.
  • Adhere to Inclusive Procurement expectation, targets and initiatives in commercial agreements and manage delivery thereof.
  • Support the Inclusive Procurement team to identify supplier development needs and opportunities. Support with the development of scorecards, monitoring of supplier performance, interpretation of performance data, and development of performance insights.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to drive step change in value and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Monitor commercial performance of suppliers, escalate issues and drive resolution.

Qualifications
Prescribed
:

  • An undergraduate qualification
  • Bachelor's degree level or equivalent, alternatively relevant tertiary qualification
  • Valid EB/Code 08 driver's license

Desirable
A post graduate qualification in a relevant Discipline or a proven record of extensive practical experience in a role and a context of similar complexity.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 Years experience

  • Good technical knowledge across the SC Value chai.
  • Sourcing and Contracting
  • Ability to integrate Commercial PSC, Supplier Management Purchasing sub disciplines.
  • Safety & Sustainability as it relates to Supply Chain & Inclusive Procurement
