What the role is all about:

As Senior Accountant, you'll lead financial reporting, oversee project accounting, and support compliance across the board. It's a hands-on role with real influence, ideal for someone who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment where accuracy and strategic thinking are key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements aligned with IFRS/GAAP standards
  • Own the general ledger, reconciliations, and financial close processes
  • Monitor WIP, project profitability, and cost alignment with budgets
  • Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with external auditors
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to control costs and support billing/claims accuracy
  • Manage multi-currency transactions and help mitigate FX risk
  • Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)

What we're looking for:

  • BCom in Accounting; CA(SA), CIMA or similar qualification highly advantageous
  • 5+ years' experience in a finance role, EPCM, construction or engineering industry preferred
  • Solid understanding of project accounting, tax, and international reporting standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • ERP and advanced Excel proficiency
  • South African citizen or permanent resident, based in Cape Town
