We're looking for a Junior Database Administrator / Report SQL Writer to join our growing data team You'll work under the guidance of an experienced data infrastructure lead, gaining hands-on experience with multiple client environments, reporting systems, and modern database technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and optimise client database environments across PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, and MongoDB.
  • Support backups, restores, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Write and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for reporting and analytics.
  • Build and maintain data extracts, dashboards, and reports for internal and client use.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage multiple incoming requests and priorities while maintaining high accuracy and professionalism.

What You'll Bring

  • 1–2 years' experience in database administration, SQL development, or data analysis.
  • Strong SQL skills — ability to write and optimise complex queries.
  • Understanding of indexing, normalisation, and database integrity.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering quality work.

Bonus Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Python for data scripting or automation.
  • Familiarity with tools like pgAdmin, Power BI, or Metabase.
  • Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git).
