Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Water Treatment Operator. There are 2 positions available, one in Tzaneen, Limpop and the other in Vanderbijlpark. The Water Treatment Operator will be responsible for monitoring and operating water and wastewater treatment systems to ensure efficient and safe operations. Daily responsibilities include chemical analyses, product replenishment, monitoring system performance, conducting routine maintenance, implementing process adjustments, and complying with safety and regulatory standards. The operator will also be responsible for daily reporting, written and verbally.

Qualifications

  • Must have a formal tertiary Chemistry Qualification.
  • Experience in Plant Operations with a focus on water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Knowledge of Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment systems and operations
  • Understanding of Process Control and the ability to monitor and adjust system parameters
  • Experience in Boiler and Cooling Water Treatment.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance standards in water treatment
  • Ability to work onsite and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Relevant certifications or training in water treatment operations is preferred
