Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with strong PeopleTools and PeopleSoft upgrade expertise to support a major modernisation programme. The role requires deep technical capability across Oracle database management, performance tuning, environment lifecycle support, and PeopleSoft application administration.

Key Responsibilities


• Manage and optimise Oracle databases supporting PeopleSoft environments


• Lead and execute PeopleTools and PeopleSoft upgrade cycles


• Oversee migration, patching, cloning, and environment refreshes


• Ensure platform stability, security, and performance


• Work closely with technical and functional teams during upgrade planning and execution

Requirements


• Proven Oracle DBA experience (including performance tuning and backup/recovery)


• Hands-on PeopleTools administration expertise


• Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft upgrade projects


• Strong troubleshooting ability and environment management skills


• Ability to work full-time on-site in Pretoria, South Africa
