The DBA has the ultimate responsibility of physical and application database administration activities supporting end2end life cycle of the product from a database perspective. Experience in managing operations within a complex, multi-interface environment, with the capability to work in 24*7 shifts.

• You will provide database supreme level problem-solving services to all stakeholders during the project lifecycle (from Development till post-production) by clarifying and addressing permanent and efficient solutions to complex and unusual problems.
• You will provide DB professional guidance and coaching to project management and development teams, implementation groups, as well as customer architects - internal and external Amdocs customers, including stakeholders without database understanding.
• You will design, develop, configure, and administer large and critical database systems, ensuring high performance and improving highly complex code where conventional approaches do not help.
• You will be responsible for tuning database parameters (physical layout and memory buffers) and promoting the standardization per product across customers worldwide.
• You will be a consistent professional (you are the bridge builder, you set the example for others to follow as it relates to communication, managing expectations, and building/growing partnerships).

• Bachelor / B.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Systems/Technology or equivalent.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, EnterpriseDB (EDB), Cloudera.
• Experience with other database platforms, cloud-based databases, or database automation tools.
• 5-7 years of experience as Database Administration: Install, configure, monitor, manage, maintain, and restore and recover Oracle & Non-Oracle databases( Couchbase/Cassandra/MongoDB/Postgres, etc. ), ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and availability.
• Proficiency with Oracle Database versions 12c, 19c or 23ai.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar database management tools.
• Knowledge of high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with UNIX or UNIX variants and scripting.
• Security Management: Implement and enforce database security policies to safeguard data against unauthorized access and breaches.
• Patch Management: Apply patches and upgrades to Oracle databases to maintain security and functionality.
