SCOPE AND PURPOSE
The Spa Receptionist
• Acts as the first point of contact and brand ambassador, delivering a warm, professional, and memorable guest experience.
• Manages reservations, confirmations, and communication efficiently through the spa system.
• Handles cash-ups, reporting, and administrative tasks in line with spa policies and procedures.
• Oversees daily opening and closing, ensuring the spa is immaculate and fully operational.
• Works closely with the team to drive retail sales, and support revenue goals.
• Maintains clear communication with guests, lodge departments, and team members to ensure seamless operations.
• Performs treatments when required, upholding Amani standards of care and professionalism.
• Demonstrates excellent presentation, self-motivation, and commitment to wellness, guest satisfaction, and Amani's culture of excellence.
EDUCATION & SKILLS EXPERIENCE
• Qualified Spa Therapist with a nationally recognised Diploma (minimum 1-year course).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in hospitality environment (lodge spa experience advantageous).
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with experience in spa management software (ChiDesk beneficial).
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and professional email etiquette.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Confident and competent to perform all standard spa treatments when required, with sound homecare and product knowledge.
• Positive, professional attitude with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
REMUNERATION
• 3-month Fixed Term contract (1 December 2025 – 29 February 2025)
• Basic Salary: R 7 000 with commission from Rand 1: 10% on Services and up to 15% on Retail
• Live-in position: Accommodation (shared) + daily staff meals included.
• Days Off: Scheduled based on occupancy, calculated as equivalent to 1 off day for 3 days worked
