About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring the
efficient purchasing, packing, and supply chain coordination
of parts and materials to meet business objectives. This includes managing supplier relationships, ensuring packaging compliance, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving continuous improvement across procurement and logistics processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all spares are
    correctly identified, labelled, and packaged
    according to company standards.
  • Maintain and capture
    packing list information
    accurately.
  • Ensure
    availability of packaging materials
    and maintain safe working conditions in line with 5S standards.
  • Convert
    SAP MRP proposals
    to purchase orders within set timelines.
  • Manage
    daily MRP messages
    to achieve business and customer service objectives.
  • Collaborate across teams and with suppliers to
    resolve supply constraints
    and meet delivery targets.
  • Track and trace shipments
    to ensure on-time arrivals and orderbook alignment.
  • Maintain accurate
    Vendor and Material Master data
    in SAP.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with
    national and international suppliers
    and
    freight/clearing agents
    .
  • Measure and improve supplier performance (stock turns, delivery, parts availability, excess stock).
  • Manage
    inventory stock levels
    per company policies and KPIs.
  • Handle
    supplier claims
    ,
    stock returns
    , and ensure timely credit resolutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to
    reduce costs and risks
    (e.g., lead time and airfreight reduction).


Minimum Requirements

  • NQF 4 qualification
    and studying towards
    NQF 6
    in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Financial, or Business Management.
  • Minimum 3 years' purchasing experience
    in the Automotive, Earthmoving, or related industry.
  • At least 2 years' experience
    dealing with large and complex suppliers.
  • 2+ years' experience
    in international freight, forwarding processes, and compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills
    (pivot tables, v-lookups, BI reports).
  • Working knowledge of SAP MRP
    , forecasting, inventory management, and master data maintenance.
  • Strong
    negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical
    skills.
  • Excellent
    relationship-building and communication
    skills in English.
  • Ability to
    work independently under pressure
    with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.


Salary:
R32 884 per month
