Job Purpose:

Trace, research and verify debtor information across multiple channels to maintain accurate and up-to-date contact details. This role supports the effective location of debtors and enables external agents to engage efficiently, facilitating successful repayment arrangements.

Job Specifications:

  • Trace and verify debtor contact information across multiple channels and data sources.
  • Validate employment and other relevant debtor details with employers where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date debtor records within the company database.
  • Provide external agents with actionable information to support effective tracing and repayment.
  • Ensure all communications comply with company policies, POPIA, and confidentiality standards.
  • Achieve daily and weekly tracing and verification targets.
  • Escalate complex or untraceable cases to management for resolution.
  • Conduct all interactions professionally, courteously, and respectfully.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and telephone etiquette skills.
  • Proficient in obtaining, verifying, and validating debtor information accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to locate and trace difficult-to-find debtors.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office, databases, and VTS systems.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and consistently meet daily and weekly targets.
  • Demonstrates persistence, resilience, and adaptability in tracing and verification tasks.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in debt collections or a similar role is essential.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Results-oriented, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and meeting targets.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in relevant systems and databases.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tracing tasks.

Job Type: Full-time
