We are currently seeking a
skilled Mechanical Fitter
with
precision alignment experience
to join our Hazloc team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and aligning a variety of mechanical equipment in industrial settings

Responsibilities

  • Fit and install mechanical machinery and equipment.
  • Perform precision alignment using alignment techniques, tools and dial indicators.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical systems and components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders within the project scope and site.
  • Record maintenance and repair activities accurately.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in precision alignment of rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, motors, gearboxes).
  • Competence performing alignment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Valid driver's license will be an added advantage.
  • Safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, Confined Space) are an advantage.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in plant shutdowns or maintenance in heavy industries (mining, manufacturing, power generation, etc.).
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills.
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring tools.
  • Working at heights training
