Our client is seeking a Test Analyst to form part of a project implementation and support team and working directly with the organisation's staff and product vendors to carry out software testing responsibilities.

The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, executing, and maintaining test cases in an Agile environment. They work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure that software solutions meet business requirements and user expectations. The individual also works independently with minimal supervision and at the same time coordinate activities with other team members.
 
The Test Analyst will be expected to apply a high degree of expertise and advanced knowledge of software testing principles. A wide degree of initiative and creativity is expected.

Requirements:
 
Qualification coupled with Software Test Analyst experience:
  • IT Degree with 2 years' experience, or
  • National Diploma with 5 years' experience,
  • Matric/Higher certificate with 10 years' experience
Additional requirements:
  • 2 years' experience in an Agile Delivery environment
  • Experience with API integrations
  • Experience with cloud-based systems
  • Systems implementation in higher education (advantage)
Skills and knowledge required:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of technical writing techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, UAT)
  • Proficiency in test management tools such as JIRA or similar
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skill in fact-finding and data collection and data analysis
  • Sufficiently adept at conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of Higher Education Industry is a plus
