Job description

We are looking for an experienced software test analyst who embodies strong work ethics and integrity to ensure the quality of our software. You will be a key member of our agile teams, partnering closely with developers to test and validate solutions as they bring user stories to life. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to play a pivotal role in our software release cycle and help us build exceptional products

Knowledge/Qualification

  • An applicable tertiary qualification
  • ISTQB CFTL

Experience

  • At least 2 years solid experience of software testing and testing methodologies
  • Experience working in an agile team and working with Jira and Xray highly recommended
  • Experience with SQL or working in a medical environment would be advantageous.

  • Be able to work independently to deliver testing and validation of high quality, professional software, on time
  • Good communication skills and sense of urgency
  • Passion for UX and CX – should be able to identify with different user personas
  • User empathy
  • Up to date with industry standards for professional, high-quality software and user interfaces

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing of software during different stages of the SDLC, including during software development sprints
  • Review software requirement specifications, prepare test cases and test plans
  • Execution of test cases and recording of outcomes
  • Preparing test cases for automation (and possibly assist running automated test cases)
  • Logging and re-testing of software defects
  • Review software usability and make recommendations to improve
  • Validation of electronic interfaces between our systems and various external systems
  • Liaison with project, product, software development and implementation teams on validation and recommendations for improving usability and presentation
  • Participating in design reviews and providing input on potential problems
