Role Description

Network Engineer

We're deploying an HPE GreenLake PCBE + Alletra/Nimble dHCI solution with DL360 Gen11 compute, Aruba 8380 switching, VMware, Morpheus, and Veeam with replication to Teraco. We're looking for an Aruba-savvy Network Engineer to design, implement, and document the data centre network fabric.

You will:

  • Design and configure an Aruba 8380 pair (VSX), including L2/L3, VLANs, SVIs, VRFs (if required), routing/ECMP

  • Build resilient uplinks using LAG/LACP, set MTU/jumbo frames, and validate end-to-end

  • Produce port maps, cable schedules, and optics plans (SFP+/SFP28/QSFP28 DAC/SR)

  • Segment and integrate storage, management, vSphere/vMotion, and backup networks

  • Implement OOB management, NTP, Syslog, SNMP/Telemetry, AAA/TACACS, and config backups

  • Deliver tested configs, diagrams, and as-built documentation for handover

Must have:

  • Strong Aruba CX experience (8380/8360 class) with VSX, LACP, VLANs, L3 routing

  • Data centre networking on 10/25/100GbE, including jumbo frames and link aggregation

  • Experience integrating with VMware networking (vDS, vmkernel requirements)

  • Solid documentation and change-control discipline.
