Group Finance Manager — Conduct Financial Harmony Across the Group

An established and diversified financial services group, known for responsible lending and advancing financial inclusion, is looking for a Group Finance Manager to take charge of a multi-entity finance function. You'll be the maestro who ensures every note — from compliance to cash flow — is perfectly in tune. Duties & Responsibilities Your Role in the Orchestra
As Group Finance Manager, you'll oversee the financial management and reporting across 11 entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless performance.
 
You'll:
  • Oversee the full accounting and reporting cycle.
  • Lead and manage the annual audit process.
  • Review management accounts, journals, cashbooks, and ledgers.
  • Oversee group payroll and ensure compliance.
  • Direct cash flow, analytics, and financial planning.
  • Manage all statutory reporting and regulatory submissions (NCR, FSCA, FIC).
  • Handle SARS and CIPC compliance — from tax and VAT returns to beneficial ownership filings.
  • Liaise with banks on funding, covenants, and FICA reviews.
  • Partner with HR on BEE certification and Stats SA submissions.
  • Oversee collections, loan disbursements, and insurance reporting.
  • Approve fund requests, refunds, and staff loans.
  • Implement sound policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Lead and mentor a 17-member finance team, fostering excellence and collaboration.
Your Expertise in Motion
  • CA(SA) qualification with BCom Honours or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' post-articles experience in group finance or multi-entity environments.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Sage Intacct and Pastel Payroll & HR 2024.
  • Strong command of Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven experience in group consolidations and complex reporting structures.
  • Thorough understanding of the National Credit Act, FAIS Act, and relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional leadership skills — you bring out the best in every performer.
  • Analytical, organised, and strategic thinker.
