Business Analyst – IT3 Tax Reporting (Contract)

Ventura Smiths
, a leading management consultancy, is seeking an experienced
Business Analyst
to join a high-impact Tax Reporting project at a major banking client.

This role is critical to delivering IT3 tax reporting compliance to SARS through integration of CL-STRUCT and Axiom systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit and document business requirements for IT3 tax reporting
    .
  • Produce clear B
    usiness Requirement Specifications (BRS), Functional Specs, and data mapping documents
    .
  • Analyse source data in
    CL-STRUCT
    and define transformation logic for
    Axiom reporting
    .
  • Collaborate with Tax, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support SIT and UAT phases, validating outputs against SARS standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Deep understanding of SARS IT3 tax reporting requirements
    .
  • Proven Business Analysis experience in financial services (5+ years).
  • Strong data mapping and SQL skills; ETL and lineage validation expertise.
  • Familiarity with Axiom or similar regulatory reporting platforms.
  • Exposure to structured products and tax reporting systems (CL-STRUCT experience advantageous).
  • Excellent documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Taxation, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Prior IT3 reporting or SARS compliance project experience is highly desirable.
