Desktop Support Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance to end-users, resolve hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth operation of computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Resolve hardware and software issues raised by users in person, via email, or remote tools.
  • Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords in Active Directory.
  • Ensure antivirus updates, OS patches, and system upgrades are regularly applied.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level engineers when needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, requests, and solutions.
  • Support setup of new workstations, peripherals, and office IT infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacement or repairs.
  • Provide end-user training for basic IT processes and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in desktop or IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiar with Active Directory, Outlook, and remote desktop tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Job Type: Temp to perm

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: R1 130,00 - R1 260,00 per day
