Campbell Scientific, a global leader in data acquisition systems used in civil, mining, and structural engineering projects, is expanding its footprint in South Africa—and we're looking for a seasoned Sales Engineer to help us grow.
About the Role
As a Sales Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to deliver reliable, high-quality geotechnical measurement solutions. You'll manage and grow client relationships, drive new business development, and provide expert technical support across a wide range of industries.
You'll work directly with the EMEA Sales Manager and be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, integrity, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Understand and assess client needs, offering tailored technical solutions.
- Prepare and present quotes, technical data, and product information.
- Proactively manage your sales pipeline and regularly report progress.
- Attend key trade shows, conferences, and customer site visits.
- Assist with sales-to-production handover and follow-up on quotations and projects.
- Provide occasional on-site field support and technical assistance.
- Deliver training courses , to demonstrate our products
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in geotechnical instrumentation, data acquisition, or mining/dam applications is highly desirable.
- Strong technical aptitude and systems thinking approach.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a knack for technical problem-solving.
- A passion for sales, business development, and delivering real customer value.
- Alongside Afrikaans, English and French will be beneficial
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
