Potentiam manages our staff's career development and personal development training, all infrastructure, HR and payroll with our clients directly managing day-to-day staff responsibilities and role training and development.

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and motivated
Marketing Executive
to join a global marketing team and play a key role in driving brand awareness, engagement, and revenue growth through creative content, PR, and digital initiatives.

Reporting directly to the
Head of Marketing
, the successful candidate will work closely with teams across Sales, Delivery, Product, and People & Culture, contributing to projects that strengthen the brand and align with the company's international marketing strategy.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive, hands-on marketer to get involved across the full marketing mix.

Purpose of the Role

The
Marketing Executive
will support the planning and delivery of digital marketing campaigns, social content, and communications that engage audiences and support business growth. The role requires someone with a creative eye, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management:
    Plan, create, and publish content across multiple social platforms. Monitor engagement and respond to messages, mentions, and comments promptly and professionally.
  • Trend & Influencer Engagement:
    Stay up to date with social trends and collaborate with content creators, partners, or industry voices to produce thought-provoking material.
  • Video & Creative Content:
    Produce and manage video content such as client testimonials, case studies, and short-form videos that build awareness and drive leads.
  • Brand Management:
    Ensure brand consistency across all channels, maintaining tone of voice and visual standards in internal and external communications.
  • Digital Marketing:
    Support website updates, assist with SEO optimisation, and track user activity. Contribute to paid advertising (PPC) campaigns and digital reporting.
  • Email Marketing:
    Plan, design, and report on email campaigns using marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot.
  • PR & Communications:
    Support the execution of PR activities and ensure brand messaging is aligned across all public relations channels.
  • Sales Support:
    Maintain a repository of case studies, credentials, and proposal materials to support client and sales presentations.
  • Budget & Administration:
    Manage project budgets, process invoices, and provide administrative support such as research, proofreading, and coordination of suppliers or photoshoots.

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • CIM Diploma or equivalent qualification advantageous.
  • 3–5 years' experience in a marketing role, ideally within a corporate, B2B, or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of website management, content optimisation, and analytics tools (WordPress, Google Analytics).
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot (or similar).
  • Experience producing marketing collateral and managing multi-channel campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

Location and Hours

Hybrid / In-office – Cape Town (2 days in office / 3 days home)

Working hours: 09:30 – 18:30 (subject to business needs and team schedule)
