About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior AWS Cloud Consultant / Practice Lead
for a
6-month contract
. This role requires a senior-level professional who can
lead a team
, provide
clear guidance on AWS migrations
, and drive enterprise-scale cloud transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable platforms for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead AWS practice growth, partner alignment, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Architect and deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions across networking, Kubernetes/EKS, and automation.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to engineering teams during AWS migration projects.
  • Oversee platform engineering teams, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and GitOps-driven operations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding cloud adoption roadmaps and transformation strategies.
  • Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Cloud Expertise:
    Deep hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda).
  • Infrastructure as Code:
    Strong proficiency in Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Containerization & Orchestration:
    Kubernetes, Rancher, GitOps.
  • DevOps & SRE:
    CI/CD pipelines, observability, reliability engineering.
  • Architecture & Strategy:
    Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-scale cloud adoption frameworks.
  • Leadership:
    Demonstrated ability to lead teams and provide clear migration guidance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in cloud engineering and consulting.
  • Previous roles as AWS Practice Lead, Platform Engineer, or Cloud Architect.
  • Banking sector experience strongly preferred
    — particularly in platform engineering, Kubernetes, or cloud-native infrastructure for financial services.
  • Strong background in financial services, telecoms, or enterprise-scale environments.
  • Ability to pivot between technical detail and executive-level strategy.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in building or scaling cloud practices.
