Our client is looking for a skilled, technically strong and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer / Draughtsman to join their Design Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving real-world engineering challenges in water and wastewater treatment systems and enjoys working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Minimum requirements:
  • Matric (or equivalent secondary qualification)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in water and wastewater treatment
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and assembly
  • Proficiency in 2D design software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD) and 3D modelling tools (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of weldment assemblies, pipe routing, sheet metal and manufacturing drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in the water treatment industry is a strong advantage
